Hospice By The Bay, formerly Hospice of Marin, is a non-profit, community-based hospice and palliative care provider serving Marin, San Francisco and Sonoma. As the second oldest hospice in the U.S., we understand the physical, emotional and spiritual continuum of care that's needed during the final stages of life. Hospice By The Bay Foundation supports the extraordinary care provided by Hospice By The Bay. Together we provide comprehensive, compassionate care to individuals and their loved ones facing the complexities of a life-limiting illness, with the goal of bringing solace and meaning to each day of life. Medicare and other insurance providers cover only a portion of hospice costs; we strive to secure the necessary funds so that no one is turned away.

How to Raise Pledges!

All pledge checks must be submitted and received by RCP Events before Friday, October 3, 2008 in order to receive recognition.

While training for the Tiburon Mile, begin your fundraising campaign by visiting our Online Donation Page or use our printable Pledge Forms to track and mail in your donations and pledges. Thank you in advance for supporting the Tiburon Mile!!!

During the registration process, identify yourself as "I will be swimming for pledges." Download and/or request a copy of the PLEDGE INFORMATION PACKET and record the name, address and the amount that each sponsor pledges. Pledge checks MUST be made payable to "Hospice By The Bay" and it is helpful for the check to reflect the swimmer's name.

There is no minimum pledge and there is no maximum pledge. It is recommended that pledge checks are collected prior to the swim. Please write the total that you have raised on the Pledge Information Sheet. Forward the completed Pledge Information Sheet, along with the checks made payable to Hospice By The Bay, to:

Each year RCP Events, Inc. recognizes the effort of each swimmer that raises pledges. This year we will be recognizing Top Fundraisers in the following categories: Top Company Fundraiser, Top Club/Association Fundraiser and Top Individual Fundraiser. The swimmer that raises the most pledges by a predetermined date is awarded the prestigious Swimmer's Pledge Award presented during the award ceremony!

The RCP Tiburon mile is also pleased to raise money for the Special Olympics again this year as one of the designated charities. Special Olympics rely on donations to support its various programs. Your donation will make a real difference in helping these athletes cross the finish line.
